In recent decades, the Democrats (with the help of their allies in the media and academia) have increasingly positioned themselves as the party of the growing ranks of the Diverse, leaving the GOP with little alternative but to respond by counter-positioning themselves as the party for people who identify primarily as Americans.
> Bowman, who recently pled guilty to falsely pulling a fire alarm in the House
Much like Larry Craig, Bowman was dumb to plead guilty here. Strictly speaking Bowman didn't pull a fire alarm, and I doubt a DC jury would have found him guilty.
Bowman is a low IQ version of Maxine Waters trading on resentment instead of positive policies for his community. I'm not a fan of AIPAC but at least what they do is mainly above board in contrast to Soros and Tides Foundation sneakiness and they can lose as their campaign against Massie demonstrated.
The problem with AIPAC is they refuse to register under the "foreign agent" law, and have the influence to make important people shut up about even asking.
It is not a foreign agent. It’s an organization made up of Americans and funded by Americans. Advocating on behalf of a foreign nation does not make you a foreign agent. Being a foreigner does.
The "Trump guy" Paul Manafort is an American went to prison in large part for unregistered lobbying for foreign countries. Paul Manafort was notoriously corrupt, at least so say those who knew him and his machine-politician father. He made money by pulling strings for foreign interests, in part; ironically they convicted him over something related to Ukraine, which later became a cause-celebre.
AIPAC, which is full of dual-citizens or effective dual-citizens, never gets critical attention from people seeking to enforce the foreign-agent law.
Is the typically-sleazy political-operative Paul Manafort, a "lobbyist" extraordinaire but a one-off lobbyist, really worse than dual-citizens acting in concert to benefit a foreign country?
"...a glad-handing white Catholic suburban centrist Democrat"
Is he a Catholic? I find nothing to suggest he is, except that he graduated from Fordham.
From the AIPAC-backed man's Westchester County executive profile-page: "George Latimer (he/him/his), a third generation Westchester native, was born on Nov. 22, 1953 in Mount Vernon[, New York,] to the late Stanley and Loretta (Miner) Latimer..." He declares his pronouns but not his church-affiliation (if any).
"It is not acceptable to say you don’t look like me go back to where you came from. That’s not acceptable either. What do we believe in and what are we willing to put behind that belief? ” said Latimer."
What a load. I work with immigrants. They want the illegals kicked out. A Guatemalan lady I know said "this [open border] is going to destroy this country" while looking at footage from the Darien Gap. She also told me that it used to be common for people to go to the US alone to send money back to the family, but now entire villages are being depopulated in this mass migration north.
You can't use a biblical passage about hospitality to justify this enormous evil, which will have disastrous consequences for millions of people. Latimer is either fooling himself or he's using religion for a sinister purpose.
The Bible reflects Middle Eastern traditions concern hospitality, which are both very strong and very finite in duration. If somebody wanders in out of the desert you must shelter them and water their camels, but there's a definite time limit. The number I recall is three days: they must hit the road after 3 days of hospitality. But I could be wrong about that precise length of time.
If you count up the top 50 Dem donors, I would bet that 90% are Jewish. If 76% of the donations are from Jews, that might be skewed by one big gentile donor like LPJ or Mackenzie Bezos.
"The resolution lays out in detail the “insidious and pernicious history” of accusations of dual loyalty, including discrimination against Muslims after the Sept. 11 attacks, the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II, questions that President John F. Kennedy faced about his Roman Catholic faith and the Dreyfus affair, in which Alfred Dreyfus, a Jewish French artillery captain, was falsely convicted of passing secrets to Germany based on his Jewish background.
"It also says: “White supremacists in the United States have exploited and continue to exploit bigotry and weaponize hate for political gain, targeting traditionally persecuted peoples, including African-Americans, Native Americans, and other people of color, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, immigrants and others with verbal attacks, incitement and violence.”
"The vote on the measure comes just weeks after Ms. Omar apologized for saying on Twitter that support for Israel was “all about the Benjamins baby,” a reference to $100 bills that critics said echoed a common anti-Semitic belief that Jewish money is controlling foreign policy."
Since New York counts its ballots faster than California does, it looks like Bowman (D-NY16) has lost his primary to the executive of Westchester County.
In other election news, Lauren Boebert (R-CO3) has won her primary in CO4 to replace Ken Buck, who resigned midterm back in March. Boebert has the odd combination of being sexy without being good-looking per se.

I could be wrong but I don't think a "DC jury" would have jurisdiction in the fire-alarm-pulling case if it happened inside the U.S. Capitol.
Why the scare quotes? Do you think juries not exist in the District of Columbia?
"impolite Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Mogadiush)" these quips are the main reason i follow this substack!
That could be the title of your next book, "Frankness." "On Bullshit" already having been taken.
Or, perhaps more accurately, "Honesty". It's not that our rulers are merely indirect; they are outright deceivers.

That's not just Middle Eastern. In the days before hotels were ubiquitous, hospitality was sacred everywhere.

I counted in 2019, out of the top 50 donors to both parties, 20 of the big Democratic donors were Jewish and 8 were gentile.
What was the name or link to the Democrat motion talking about the Dreyfus Affair? That’s too hilarious to believe
Nancy Pelosi?

Steve, is the stereotype about Jews that they are generous with money? Or is this a topic that really shouldn't be discussed openly?

The Jamal Bowman loss to Latimer, the challenger who is "pro-Israel" as some of the MSM is calling him), was a top story on CNN.
Results
- 42% Jamal Bowman
- 58% George Latimer (AIPAC-funded challenger)
From what it looks like, three times as many votes were cast in the 2024 primary as in the 2022 primary, in the Jamal Bowman district.
In the 2020 primary. Jamal Bowman edged out a Jewish candidate, Eliot Engel, by 55-41.
