No mention in the NYT Times or Washington Post of the Mauritanian migrant who shot an Orthodox Jewish man in Chicago as an act of terrorism.

The suspect charged with shooting a Jewish man multiple times on his way to a Chicago synagogue last week is a Mauritanian illegal immigrant who was released into the U.S. last year, Fox News has confirmed.
Four law enforcement sources say that Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi, a Mauritanian national, was apprehended in Border Patrol’s San Diego Sector in March 2023 and was released into the U.S.
Police say he attacked the 39-year-old male victim on Saturday morning in Chicago’s West Rogers Park neighborhood. Police said that the suspect was identified less than 30 minutes after the shooting, at which point he allegedly shot at responders before police "returned fire, striking the offender." The victim, who was wearing traditional Jewish clothing, survived the attack.
Strikingly, as of the evening of November 3, neither the New York Times nor the Washington Post has mentioned the name “Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi.”
Hate crime shootings of Jews right before elections often get heavy publicity, such as the October 27, 2018 shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue. But sometimes the shooter doesn’t fit the Narrative …
So the world “Mauritanian” hasn’t appeared in the NYT since a week before the latest shooting.
… Mauritania is a majority Muslim country in northwest Africa. The Department of Homeland Security deems illegal immigrants from Mauritania as "special interest aliens" due to security concerns, and they are supposed to receive additional DHS vetting.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had initially told Fox News Digital that it had no interaction with him. Law enforcement sources say that there is detainer request on Abdallahi — a request that he is transferred to ICE custody in the event of his release — but that "sanctuary" policies in Cook County, Illinois, prohibit local authorities from cooperating with it.
Local Jewish leaders believe this was a targeted hate crime, but no hate crime charges have been filed as of now….
Mauritania is in the Sahel along the southern side of the Sahara.
Sahelian countries tend to have some of the last really high birthrates in the world (with Niger in the world lead at 6.4, although Mauritania, with its somewhat whiter population due to being relatively more Saharan than Sahelian, is at only 3.4), an intense degree of Islamist fervor, extremely anti-woman customs, much of the world’s remaining slavery, horrific temperatures, and in some places, like Mauritania, a dominant white supremacist culture where the White Moors oppress the Black Moors. Also, the White Moors like to force-feed girls on all-milk diets so they get up to 500 pounds.
Sounds like a fun place.
The good news for the U.S. has been that the Sahel is closer to Europe so the vast majority of Sahelian migrants head north across the Mediterranean rather than west across the Atlantic. Silvio Berlusconi came up with a pragmatic deal to bribe Col. Gadaffi to not let Sahelians embark from Libya for Europe, but … oh well…
So, there have been few footholds for Sahelians in the U.S.
Until recently:
There has been a significant increase in Mauritanian arrivals, putting pressure on towns like Lockland, Ohio, where more than 3,000 migrants have arrived in the village of 3,500. A Washington Post analysis in June found that over 15,000 residents from Mauritania came to the U.S. last year, a 2,800% increase over 2022, when just 543 arrived.
Mauritanian migrants don’t yet enjoy Temporary Protected Status, but there is a push in Congress to grant it to them on the grounds that life in Mauritania is lousy, especially for blacks.
Whether it's Chicago, NYC or Cali, when these things happen you can see the brain wheels spinning behind the cold dead eyes of our political class: they all know that the criminal is an illegal alien, they know the alien wasn't really vetted and that no sane person would argue for even allowing them in the country—yet they also know that Party omerta demands that none of this be mentioned and that no matter how high the body count, breathing one word of fact or common sense would mean the only death that matters to them—the death of their careers and pensions.
I wonder if there's anything short of a migrant 9/11 that could make the Dems reconsider their sacred devotion to sanctuary states and cities, but I doubt it. As xenophilia/xenophobia is the major fault line of Western politics, if you really want to get ahead as a Blue State politico, you have to be a fundamentalist xenophiliac above all else and this goes triple for liberal Jews, who'd rather eat lead than admit in public to "discriminating."
The occasional civilian clipped or raped is the small price our liberal clerisy is willing to pay to maintain their exalted moral and social status—especially as they'll never be the ones who have to pay.
Almost forgot one more thing: Kim Foxx must be mainlining that Ozempic...not only was I shocked to see that she still had her job, she looks like she's shrunk more than the Als Roker and Sharpton combined. You go, girl!
