I looked up the New York public library rules but they were pretty rigidly bureaucratic: e.g., needed to be reviewed in outlets like Publisher's Weekly, needed to be carried by certain firms (not Amazon) that NYPL buy from, etc.
Yup they did, or are about to. BPL has generally been pretty good about approving purchases (although they wouldn't buy a kids' book on Thomas Sowell by Sean Dickson, claiming "it is no longer available for purchase or cannot be obtained by our suppliers" - although Amazon carries it!)
I suggested on June 18 they buy Noticing and they approved the purchase within a couple of days. It will take up to two months before it becomes available in the catalogue, "because we are sourcing this title from outside our primary vendor," they say.
Got my hard copy, thanks. I find it hard to stay with Ebooks. My innocent phone does not encourage me to take back up a book like seeing one lying on a table with a bookmark does. I think I've only read half of my Kindle library.
I got my hard copy a few weeks ago and couldn’t put it down. Entertaining, intelligent, courageous and packed full with eye opening facts and insights. My only regret is buying it on Amazon instead of your website.
I had the Boston (!) Public Library order a hard copy of the book. ;)
Did they just buy one for you?

Got it!

The upside, if you bought it on Amazon, is that you could give a verified-purchaser 5-star review.
👍 Did that right after I left the comment above.
I now own the paperback and Kindle versions. Someday, perhaps, the hardcover . . .
I find it funny that you use the term pennypinchers here but cheapskates over there.
Just bought your book last night. A softcover for full price. Wish you much success with your book. You are a treasure.
