Something, something about things better when they were colonies.

It would be another fine distraction for Trump to scoop him up, but the violent ones really should go first. He's bound to have cheated someone else since 2018.

The two arrested judges are a start to ending sanctuary cities. I'm sure some local politicians can't wait to be martyrs for foreign thugs, and a large chunk of the country wants to see it happen.

“Ravidath “Ravi” Ragbir, a Trinidadian-American immigrant rights activist, fought against deportation for almost 20 years”

I think the reporter meant to say Trinidadian-Norte American immigrant.

You always have to wonder what causes the Left to put so much time and money to specific cases?

Ravi has contacts throughout the Washington-New York left-wing blob. The money he stole from Democracy Now is long forgotten. 400 grand is just a little skimming compared to the defense contractors.

Not sure I understand the reference to defense contractors?

The Washington blob is filled with thousands of swindlers. The defense contractors get the most loot.

I’ll agree with that, because that’s where the money is. But if I am an editor at Democracy Now and someone steals $400,000, I’d be pissed off, both on a personal level and from a strategic/optics level.

"I think the reporter meant to say Trinidadian-Norte American immigrant."

Just to help readers get their stereotypes straight, isn't this guy actually an Indian? The one person I've ever met who was Trinidadian struck me as black and would have been a hopeless conman.

Trinidad is about half South Asian: e.g., the black Trinidadian accountant who lived upstairs from me mentioned that one of his substitute teachers was V.S. Naipaul. Not surprisingly, Naipaul was a tough grader.

Surely someone here knows Tom Homan or Stephen Miller. I'm sure they'd look into it for a laugh, although admittedly I haven't seen either of them crack a smile

Was Ralph Nader involved with the creation with Democracy Now? I think so but I'm not sure.

I didn't realize it was left-wing the first few times I saw their program, but the complete lack of blondes should have given me a clue.

I was forced two years ago to watch Fox News for two days straight. Are all the ladies of Fox blondes except for the black woman at mid-day and the Italian woman with the machine-gun accent in the morning? But your usual lefty woman wears her hair in a hack job, wears granny glasses and have stern, crazy-faces. They intentionally try to look ugly like a badge of courage.

Con artists are presumably better than most classes of criminals at convincing NGO types that they are innocent.

The Left calls every third world country a shit-hole without saying the word

The reason that lefties reacted so poorly to the 'shit-hole country' reference is because they think it's true. People are far more offended by the truth, things they don't want to be true, things they fear are true, than lies.

That said, I had an old friend, a dedicated Kool-aid drinker, who was really into saving this guy for a minute. I think he knew the guy's wife. Anyway, my recollection is that it wasn't so much the drug gangs and man-eating prehistoric animals of Trinidad that were the problem; it was that this guy had lived in the US so long he was yankee doodle dandy and would get all homesick if he had to live somewhere else...you know, like a US person retiring to Portugal, or a democrat celebrity fleeing the US until Trump is gone.

Of all the iffy pardons by the squeakiest wheels, the one that tells the story of American "Justice" better than any other is the judge who took kickbacks for sending children to a pound-me-in-the-ass private prison. I'm sure China has its corruptions as well, but unless this fellow was Xi's lover he would have been executed. In America he was pardoned.

Judge Michael Conahan was convicted of accepting $2.8m for jailing more than 2,300 children, some as young as 8 years old.

He received a short sentence, was released shortly thereafter to house arrest, and EVEN THAT being too much for him he got himself pardoned less than a year ago.

Have you heard about this? Has there been an outcry? No, and not because it happens to have Biden who did the pardoning — I am aware of grotesque pardons by all recent presidents, and by a thousand-fold as many miscarriages of justice in our "land of the free and home of the brave where you can get the best justice money can buy".

That just how things work here and everyone involved in the legal system (save for a handful of eternally-derided self-sacrificing attorneys) is guilty to the point that I can't envision their robes and suits except as covered in blood and feces.

May their glories be erased and their schools leveled and marked as eternal memorials to the "American Justice System".

And may each and every one of us erase our own shame for tacitly supporting this system, even if only by being able to tolerate watching all of the hagiographical procedural dramas about it without standing up and shouting, "LIES!"

Our cowardice surpasses those of the Soviet citizenry by miles.
