Not everyone performed well today, but I’d like to first salute some of those who did, such as the photojournalists and this articulate witness who tried to alert the Secret Service and local police that a man with a rifle was crawling up on a roof overlooking Donald Trump’s podium:
In case you are wondering about the witness’s haircut, he appears to be wearing a Trump novelty visor/wig:
I don’t know the name of the witness, but the BBC correspondent interviewing him soon after the shootout is Gary O'Donoghue. Mr. O’Donoghue isn’t the best reporter on television at making eye contact, but then he has a reason for that: he is completely blind.
Perhaps the blind reporter’s assistant told him: “There’s a witness who sounds credible, but he has weird hair. Do you want to interview him or not?”
Guy might have had better luck if he'd yelled "GUN!" like they do on TV.
It seems like he may have actually saved Trump's life.
This is just speculation on my part but it looks ( https://youtube.com/shorts/nWwmgQI260k?feature=share ) like the Secret Service is ready to shoot the guy - possibly thanks to redhead - and thus the shooter had to shoot before he was ready, which was why he missed.
