Agreed, I like Matt Gaetz and it doesn’t seem like there was enough evidence of anything to charge him, but clearly he has some secrets that are at best unsavory.

I favor the Gaetz was a distraction theory. He needed an excuse to resign from Congress, and Trump liked having him as a lightning rod. Also, Trump appreciates a good joke, and it was fun watching the Left and the DOJ employees freak out.

I have a hard time believing Trump didn’t know Gaetz would face stiff RINO opposition and had no backup plan. I was guessing his plan was to force Gaetz to a vote to get the RINOs on record for future primary challenges, but even if it wasn’t you have to think he has a plan B ready given the obvious risk that Gaetz’ nom would fail.

You don’t have to be a RINO to think that Gaetz was clearly not qualified to be AG in terms of judgment, experience, legal acumen and IQ.

I got burned out on the 4d chess theories 7 years ago. The people in Washington are not that clever. The left smelled blood in the water and attacked, just like they always do.

Expand full comment

The Left attack was so predictable that even Trump couldn't be oblivious to the fact that it would happen. Gaetz's resignation excuse is pathetic -- he also had to know that the "distraction" would happen. And why would he resign immediately after the nomination? I think Trump maybe did him a solid by giving him an excuse to do it before he was forced out for other reasons. I'm not convinced of that, but it's the best explanation I can think of.

Expand full comment

The obvious other reason is the pending ethics report.

I thought it was clear that that's what I was saying. But why did Trump do it? Doing it as a favor to Gaetz doesn't seem like a particularly Trump-like thing to do.

We won’t be able to find real solutions unless we identify “the powers that SHOULDN’T be” and their goals:

https://scientificprogress.substack.com/p/the-plan-revealed

Is there any proof that they really want to murder all of us?

https://scientificprogress.substack.com/p/criminal-intent

How to get out of this political genocidal mess?

SIMPLE SOLUTION in 3 steps:

1. Pray MAGA: Make America God’s again. Pray “Thy Kingdom come”. Make the world His Kingdom of love. “God is love”.

John Dickinson, Chairman of the Committee for the Declaration of Independence (1776): “Our liberties do not come from charters; for these are only the declaration of pre-existing rights. They do not depend on parchments or seals; but come from the King of Kings and the Lord of all the earth”

The US national motto is “in God we trust”1, the Oath of Allegiance sums up in “so help me God”2, and the Pledge of Allegiance is “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

“Under God”, not only means under God’s protection/providence, but also under God's will/authority and Commandments.

America fist should mean God first as in the first Commandment!

Separation of church and State doesn’t mean banning God from civil life, but only "freedom of conscience", i.e. that a Government should not impose any particular religion. It doesn't mean that public officials can't show and live their faith in public, and it means that the State must always put all actions "under God", definitely not “under Satan” or over God ’s Will. Lincoln: “the nation shall, under God, have a new birth of freedom.” 3

Freemasonry is one of the “churches” of Satan: in their documents worship Lucifer as their “Great Architect”. “Separation of church and State” requires eliminating the demono-cracy over Government.

Theocracy comes from “theo”, God, “cratos”, power, but this has nothing to do with God, but Satan and his demons, so it’s a demono-cracy by the SSS (Satanic Secret Societies).

Get the murderers out of government: force masons to self-identify by law under severe penalty (their oath doesn't forbid self-identification, also, evil oaths are void).

1st Amendment: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of (the masonic) religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof (of other religions, like they did with lockdowns); or abridging the freedom of speech (like the massive masonic censorship of the conspiracy evidence, especially since 2020), or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble (lockdowns), and to petition the government for a redress of grievances” (like the wrongful COVID response and compensation to the victims, especially those fired for refusing getting poison in their veins and those disabled by them).

----------------

2. This will never stop unless we stop using those UNBACKED colored worthless papers that we call money, masons keep counterfeiting in trillions of dollars per year to buy, corrupt (Epstein-style) and bribe EVERYTHING for sale, starting with consciences.

MAGA (Make Assets Great Again): money should be 100% backed with gold and real assets. This makes masonic counterfeiting harder. They are buying everything with trillions of fake money: listed corporations, media, medical system, political parties, prosti-ticians, universities… !

Satanic secret societies like the masons are increasing the financial supply through:

- Forging dollars using the Federal Reserve they fully control

- Money creation through bank loans without reserves

- Financial “wealth” creation out of thin air through financial instruments such as derivatives

- Government debt

It's what I call finflation: inflation of financial instruments

The way out of this financial nightmare:

1. Create an easy system for “real money”: private currencies/warrants/tokens based on real assets, goods, services, etc. (gold, corn, flour, oil, distance/volume/weight transportation, labor human hour/minute, etc.)

2. Ban:

a) Legal tender (free markets decide which “real money” they prefer to trade with)

b) Paper-backed debt, including:

- Currencies (even foreign)

- Government debt: allowing a government to get indebted is like giving credit to a drug-addict.

- Fractional reserve loaning: all financial loans should be 100% backed by deposits (so banks don't create money based on air), and therefore, there's no need for a Central Bank, because there would be no risk of bank-runs since all their loans are fully backed. Kill Central Banks.

3. Make usury illegal again! It’s a sin in the Bible!

Force all social networks and media to kill algorithmic moderation (shadow banning, etc.) and reinstate all closed accounts. Only messages selling things can be blocked IF it comes from outside one's network. Let people decide who's in their social network and that's it.

Replace the internet with a new peer to peer protocol, not government controlled, not centralized.

Get out of the UN organizations (including WHO), get out of the IMF, WorldBank, OAS, IADB, etc. All have been weaponized. Create alternative cooperative organizations, never legally binding.

------------------

3. Start your local parallel economy: organics coop.

Start by giving free talks on the benefits of going organic. Form a conscious community first!

Government spends 2x per student in public schools with respect to private ones and 3x at university level, with worse outcomes in all levels of education.

Time for a 100% voucher system, where parents can choose schools or earn the voucher money themselves if they homeschool (and their kids pass the exams), or through grand/parent/teacher coops.

This would allow many mothers to leave a work they hate, double their income, and stay home with their babies and children, especially in the most important years of childhood until 6 years old. It would have a deep impact on society and recover fertility replacement rate!

How to save the life from the COVID vaxxed in 10 easy fast steps?

Appeal to authority (that’s the only thing they listen to):

1. Show that, while it is still given in the USA, all countries in Northern Europe banned Moderna due to the severe after-effects (let’s not call them side effects, but deliberate effects).

2. Show them Florida’s declaration not recommending COVID vaccines to most of the population.

3. Show Texas and 4 other states suing Pfizer for lying about vaccine efficacy (couldn’t sue the rest because of special DoD protection).

4. Show Health Canada’ statement about finding DNA plasmids in mRNA shots, proving they hacked the cell nucleus. Show the Swedish study proving that the cell nucleus is hacked by mRNA vaccines. Show that 30% of the proteins produced by the hacked cells have nothing to do with COVID.

5. Show that Health Canada also says that Pfizer inserted a sequence of the SV40 monkey virus. Show the studies proving that SV40 is carcinogenic.

6. Show that the Republican Party declared COVID “vaccines” a “biological and technical bioweapon” and instructed the authorities to seize vials and run a forensic analysis.

Appeal to science:

7. Show the studies proving that the injected are still producing spike protein and other unknown ones.

8. Show the studies proving that the spike protein was engineered to kill in Wuhan by adding HIV sequence and a Moderna cancer-related patent.

9. Convince them to labtest the amount of spike protein in their blood, which is still produced by their hacked cells and if they can’t afford it:

10. Convince them to lower the spike protein in blood by trying any of the spike detox protocols based mostly on cheap medicines. They have nothing to lose, by trying it for a week, if their health improves, then they know that the bio-weapon caused their health problems:

Donald Trump has many blind eyes. As a creature of the world of television, Trump thinks anyone who makes it in the world of television is to be commended. He thought Gaetz, a television character, would fit as Attorney-General, oblivious to the fact that Gaetz would never get confirmed due to his personal flaws and the fact that the Democrats(I'm counting "independent" Senators Sanders and King as Democrats, which they essentially are) have 47 votes against Gaetz right away with Republicans Collins and Murkowski on board the anti-Gaetz cabal. Gaetz was doomed from the start.

Trump is a fine politician by intuition. But his political analytical ability is sorely lacking.

People are saying the Gaetz nomination was a misdirection. A Trump-style negotiation tactic, never intended to have Gaetz serve as head of the Justice Dept for four years but with Gaetz nominated first the "real" nominee would look a lot more palatable to everyone.

"Speaker of the House Denny Hastert to prison, was on the bingo card of practically nobody, insider or outsider, when it emerged,"

--I disagree. When it came out, lots of folks started claiming/admitting that Hastert's procivities for young men were well known in Congressional scuttlebutt but because of his power and the general Deep State omerta on blackmail if the Deep State doesn't want it done said persons kept their mouths shut.

Similarly, when the news hit of Matt Lauer's numerous assaults/affairs on women in his office---complete with his own Dr. Evil-style door-lock button on his desk---the general public was shocked (he was America's morning boyish crush for women, so much so that Friends made a joke where Phoebe had a crush on him), but then some shobiz/news women, even people who had just been on for guests, slowly revealed that yeah, rumor had it that Lauer was a handsy horndog when he got you alone. (Incidentally, this might also explain the previous Lauer/Ann Curry feud, which was never fully cleared up for the public).

The public may be shocked, but those working with the persons and meeting them and general political insiders and reporters knew or had good evidence to believe. But they kept their mouths shut for their careers.

Much like Epstein and Diddy. Many people either knew or participated in the Epstein/Diddy underage stuff but kept their mouths shut, for fear of the Deep State.

As to Trump picking Gaetz: Gaetz was a radical young flatterer, and Trump's weakness is that a person who is flattering him the most at the moment can gain his trust. Gaetz's position with Trump during the campaign got him his position. And whatever Gaetz's baggage -- whether sordid or imagined--- the Deep State was going to keep him from the AG's office; by rumor, four big R Senators (including McConnell) were for some reason absolutely refusing to confirm him, all but guaranteeing he wouldn't get in. Gaetz pulling out publicly now is to head off a fight that might have gotten Kavanaugh-esque in its lurid nonsense.

I don't want to discount harm anyone has suffered, but there are degrees of wickedness in these accusations. On the normal-for-several-hundred-thousand-years-but-possibly-techinically-prohibited-depending-on-the-jurisdiction is dating a young but sexually mature person of the opposite sex. On the Biblically wicked end of the spectrum is the rape of prepubescent children.

Yet, in our increasingly explicit era, these very divergent matters and everything in between are often lumped bafflingly together under the ambiguous heading of "pedophilia" or "child sex abuse". Presumably this is due to, on one side, political opportunists seizing on traces of slightly under the age of consent liaisons to hurl the most semantically incendiary accusation, while from the other side, those conscious of extreme wrongdoing seek to dilute public perception of their crimes by placing them under the broadest and vaguest rubric.

It would better serve actually abused children, and better protect falsely accused adults, if the news media would name crimes and allegations more accurately and precisely. But since the Legacy Media's role at this point is obfuscation rather than information, I'm not holding my breath.

All that said, the reason that Denny Hastert's crimes fell out of public consciousness is likely because they involved unspecified kinds of contact with post-pubescent boys (aka, young men) with ambiguous degrees of consent, rather than forcible rape of prepubescent children. The public is naturally much less alarmed by the former than by the latter. Also, the public is probably less indignant about crimes against males than about crimes against females.

Meanwhile the kinds of crimes that keep coming to the surface involving the global overclass (immediately followed by huffy, hand-wavey denials by the serially dishonest regime media, and lost evidence and dropped prosecutions by the authorities) are very much on the Biblically wicked end ... and worse. No, I'm not thinking of Jeffrey Epstein—he's sort of in the middle—I'm thinking more of Marc Dutroux, et al.

WRT complex child sex scandals, I read up on the origins of the Pizzagate thing a couple years ago and it turns out, it was clearly the Epstein scandal, just before that and the name were known. It expanded on the internet until the pizza restaurant thing somehow was appended. Of course that was so crazy it became the dog instead of the looney tail that that it was. I just double checked this and I can't find the explanation I read back then (just a references to the popular explanation thread being deleted from reddit). Everything now says it started with the hacked emails but I swear I read it started with a rumor the New York cops were ready to arrest some Clinton associates over something that sounded exactly like the Epstein situation.

Can anyone else verify this memory of mine?

I assume certain people liked it that way. At the time having the Epstein thing seem like a tin foil hat plan would have been advantageous.

WRT Obama's daughter, I might have assumed he just figured no way Weinstein would mess with the president's daughter. Then I remembered that even Stalin warned his daughter to stay away from Beria.

Sailer's anecdote about his late-2019 or early-2020 dinner with a Trump nominee was about Gaetz, -- it can now be asserted with the highest confidence.

https://www.stevesailer.net/p/what-do-you-think-of-trumps-picks

Commenter Almost Missouri and I, following another Sailer hint or two, narrowed it down to a short-list of in which the only possible candidate even on technical grounds was Gaetz; with two or three longshots none of whom really make sense. It was Gaetz.

https://www.stevesailer.net/p/what-do-you-think-of-trumps-picks/comment/77418362

I wonder if that was the same dinner that John Derbyshire writes about in his November 2024 Diary:

https://www.johnderbyshire.com/Opinions/Diaries/2024-11.html#07

"In my November 15th podcast I mentioned my one encounter with Matt Gaetz. That was five years ago, October 2019, at an informal dinner party in Manhattan. I did not think to mention the following, which I recalled after posting the podcast.

As the gathering broke up, Matt left before I did. On his way out I shook hands, offering a polite farewell and … my business card. "In case you need a speechwriter," I said, not altogether facetiously, as I offered the card. (Before Matt arrived there had been some talk among the earlier guests that Matt might run for the GOP Presidential nomination in 2024.)

Alas, I've changed my phone number since that card was printed. My email address is the same, though. I check emails twice a day, Matt …"

It was specified that the Sailer-Gaetz encounter happened in California in either late 2019 or early 2020, at a private dinner. So the Derybshire-Gaetz encounter cannot have been the same dinner. (Unless, by wild coincidence and against all plausibility, Derbyshire was writing "Manhattan" as short for "Manhattan Beach").

It does seem that Matt Gaetz was putting out feelers towards important thought-leaders perceived as associated with the Alt Right, in hopes of sounding them out on whether he could launch in the wake of Trump. In late 2019, the embers still burned, that is to say the energy and marvel of the Alt Right of the mid-2010s was still felt.

Also for context:

VDare's "Washington Watcher II" ran an article published October 25, 2019, titled "After Trump: Rep. Matt Gaetz Emerging As Possible MAGA 2.0 Leader." Gaetz was just emerging into serious attention and was not yet the problematic provocateur he emerged as later.

I wrote a kind of profile of Gaetz at the same time:

https://www.unz.com/article/after-trump-rep-matt-gaetz-emerging-as-possible-maga-2-0-leader/#comment-3524208

The same week, late October 2019, Gaetz was seen with Trump at a V.I.P. box at the World Series in Washington.

The timeline of the rumored "Israeli blackmail attempt" against Gaetz (extortion, involving highly politically connected individuals) was 2020-2021. Gaetz revealed it to the public in spring 2021 and fought it off. The contents of that take-down attempt were revived to successfully bury him here in late 2024. Gaetz' enmeshment in this net, whoever the shadowy players may be, date to very early on and Gaetz' emergence from obscurity to run for Congress in 2016. They left Gaetz alone for three years, feeling him sufficiently damaged.

Gaetz' turn towards eccentric "bomb-thrower" behavior in the early 2020s was probably influenced in greater or lesser part by the near-successful attempt to kill him off, politically, that came to a head in 2021 and had, apparently, Israeli intelligence agents involved.

https://www.unz.com/isteve/bidens-trip-to-israel/#comment-6216883

These Gaetz encounters with Sailer and Derbyshire both dating to 2019 makes perfect sense in this ten-year or so timeline of the rise and fall of Gaetz. The rise and fall of Gaetz, interesting historically as a version of Trump more ideologically serious than Trump himself about what MAGA supposedly is. Gaetz, then, was an obvious target for the sorts of plots that did, indeed, materialize against him.

It seems that in 2012-13, people at that blog were angry about Pam Bondi's role in the prosecution of George Zimmerman over the death of Trayvon Martin.

Bondi's political rise had been steady and strong, all the way up to state attorney general of a major state. Her decision to "virtue signal" and back a life-in-prison punishment for George Zimmerman, is not a good sign that she would be a good U.S. attorney general. It's also surprising how symbolically important the "Trayvon" case remains after all this time.

Conservative Treehouse in July 2012 slammed the rumor that Mitt Romney was considering Pam Bondi for vice-presidential nominee because of Bondi's "recent revelations about Pam Bondi’s sheer lack of integrity, insufferable manipulation and self-serving political stupidity." Perhaps Gaetz and Ginger had an open marriage, like the Clintons. Of course, tolerating Bill Clinton's infidelities in exchange for a chance to ride his coattails to the Oval Office (and Hillary came really, really close) is one thing, but I don't see Gaetz as having anywhere near Bill's charisma, and the ladies are usually good at picking up on that.

The other, more lurid, possibility is that Ginger was involved in all this--maybe she's bi and they were going to go looking for ladies to play with together. (I can think of more exotic things, but I'm not sure people here want to hear.)
