Laws are like cobwebs; they capture flies while wasps fly free.

The British elite is doing a great job reminding us why we kicked their asses out back in 1776.

Their behavior as of late is repulsive to the sensibilities of freedom-loving men. If we owe our English kinsmen anything it is to stand against this vicious tyranny imposed on them.

Things haven't really changed in Britland since Henry II whined "Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?"

On theme, here's a very depressing -- but accurate, based on my own fairly frequent visits in the past few years -- assessment of the UK's current regime:

Yes, truly depressing. It seems to be driven by an intense self-hatred, which I will never understand.

Letterbox, huh? In Afghanistan they were called BMOs -- Black Moving Objects.

Uh, oh.

Now I can never visit England again. Oh, well, I'll just rewatch David Lean's "Brief Encounter" and reread "Cider with Rosie." Good enough. Actually better than today's reality. By far.

"Let our battle cry be for Sailer and shitpoaster's rights!"

Shameful what has happened to Britain. And, yes, let's all go full Morrissey!

O/T

It looks like SteveSailer content generator Will Stancil has lost his primary election in his hopes to be elected to the Minnesota House. With all precincts reporting, Katie Jones has 3,947 votes (43%) while Will has 3,338 votes (37%). As far as I can tell there are no runoffs in Minnesota, so barring some sort of mistabulation she will move on to the general election in November.

As I recall when looking at the race earlier this year, she appeared to be just as unhinged and slightly more competent. It was probably a coin flip though.

I mean, come on now, no one is as unhinged as Will Stancil

Katie Jones is an intentionally childless green energy zealot with an endorsement from Keith Ellison. She is also well versed in how state government works and can probably get some of her crack pot ideas through the legislature, unlike Will Stancil who would have simply spouted off online.

> "Labour MP David Lammy said: 'Muslim women are having their burkas pulled off by thugs in our streets...'"

Are there any actual verified cases of this happening, or is it just the British Muslim version of black American women complaining that Becky always wants to touch their hair?

Expand full comment

Shrewd question. Answer: no. If such a thing had happened there would certainly have been national publicity, and there has not. Even in majority Muslim areas, burqas are not actually that common and uncovered heads, though rare, by no means unknown. The women typically wear headscarves and dowdy western-style dresses. Muslims are conspicuous for their joyless, drab clothing as against the colourful fashions of the Hindus.

I went full Morrissey back in college one night, but I was drunk and the lights were off.

I woke up whining and wanting to read Wilde.

They'll arrest him if he plays this song in England ever again:

There are some important, nay vital, issues at stake. Free speech underpins all other freedoms, and it is under strong attack in Britain. But debate about these issues is not best advanced by flippant remarks about 'jollie olde England' and 'bobbies', nor by the witless Anglophobia ('cuck island' etc.) which seems to have come here from Unz; and which I hoped would not follow Steve from that cesspit.

The Free Speech Union, founded by the indefatigable and heroic Toby Young, is fighting the good fight here and abroad. I recommend it.
