"Noticing" Fall Book Tour specifics
It's still 107 in L.A., but autumn is coming, which means I'll be headed out on the road flogging my anthology "Noticing."
From late September to late October, I’ll be doing public appearances in Chicago, Sarasota, Florida, Washington DC, and, in all likelihood, the San Francisco Bay Area to promote my anthology Noticing (also in Kindle download).
First, Chicago in a couple of weeks:
Thursday, September 26 will be a dinner with me and two-three dozen guests in River North area.
The evening of Friday, September 27 will be a speaking event in Edgewater in the North Lakefront area near the north end of Lakeshore Drive.
Then off to Sarasota Florida for a discussion in the early evening of Tuesday, October 8 with professors Wilfred Reilly and Mark Bauerlein on crime in the 21st Century.
Then to Washington D.C. for a speaking event in downtown D.C. on the evening of Thursday, October 10.
In late October, there will likely be two events in the sprawling San Francisco Bay Area, but those aren’t for sure yet.
Hope to see you there.
Would you like me to come to your town?
Well, there’s a good way to make that happen, which is to pay me to speak to your group. My rates are reasonable, lower than Angela Davis’s.
I want to pass on word on the possible end of Peak Stupidity. (The website, that is.)
The pro-Sailer commentator known to some as A. E. Newman for seven years ran the Peak Stupidity blog at PeakStupidity.com. He has, this week, announced a long hiatus for his blog and possible end to all his blogging. There are certain personal reasons. But he says he remains pro-Sailer; he may well pop up at one of the Sailer talks.
He specifies the reasons for blog-retirement, and has other parting words for his readers, in his recent post "A Long Goodbye":

Will you come to NYC?
