The NYT is apparently the moderate voice of whatever has become of the Democrat Party.

Chilling thought. I'm going to cling to X now...

I dunno: from a neo-Kremlinological standpoint it seems to me that this must mean something about The Plan going forward. Is VP Harris ultimately just a stalking horse for the Real Candidate TBA at the Democratic Convention? And has Walz therefore been attached to her in limpet-mine fashion to hole her candidacy amidships? When the NYT goes after someone they would normally be smothering/exalting with praise I tend to get suspicious...

Yes, this is quite possible! Going with what shows itself each day, these folks have a great short game and zero moral restrictions.

Users on X have clips of his wife talking about how she kept the windows open as long as she could to smell the burning tires and screenshots of his daughter's account from that night encouraging rioters to keep going as she knew the National Guard was not getting deployed. The whole family is completely deranged.

Seems like the NY Times is not too enthusiastic about the Kamala anointment following the Biden ouster. Apparently they would have preferred an open process that might have yielded a more viable candidate. Well, maybe it's not too late to replace her at the Convention, so perhaps that is what they are working toward.

I pointed out a month ago that the Democrats' most practical plan was to anoint their intersectional black woman VP as Joe's replacement. So far, it seems to be working out for them.

True, but let's not get too excited about one blast of sanity from the NYT. In October/November they'll be lauding the Harris/Walz ticket and attacking Trump as Hitler redux (again).

Possibly they’re worried that Trump now has an excuse to bring up the Floyd riots?

Summary at the end of the article:

“In the end, according to a state legislative report, more than 1,500 businesses and buildings burned, including a Minneapolis Police station, with an estimated $500 million in property damage statewide. Many police officers and protesters were injured, and at least three deaths were linked to the unrest.”

The crowd was a mix of out of state Antifa and local black and white, beseiging the precinct. Lake Street looked like Syria after.

And still does, evidently--somewhere on the web is a series of "before & after" photos of the devasted areas, including the police station. Hint: Joe and Kamala ain't done any build back better in the Twin Cities!

Good. Jews will be unhappy that Shapiro wasn't selected and ads can be run until November showing the riots in Minneapolis and Kamala's bail solicitation. Three of my immigrant grandparents came through the Twin Cities, getting jobs immediately, but they certainly wouldn't recognize what it has become.

If you haven’t read Liz Colin’s book( They're Lying: The Media, The Left, and The Death of George Floyd), I’d recommend you get it. She was a WCCO reporter for 14 years, left after the 2020 riots and joined Alpha News.

Given that the cop was convicted of murder there is no other way that the NYT would have wrote things.

The cop was convicted in a kangaroo court. Everything about it was a farce.

-- Saint Floyd was a violent career criminal & drug addict.

-- Saint Floyd's most recent counterfeiting-related felony was why he was arrested in the first place.

-- The cop cam showed Saint Floyd refusing to get out of his car for 10 or 20 minutes -- while the cops tried, very friendly & patiently, to talk him into getting out of his car (cops would not likely be that patient with me (a Whitey)).

-- And get this -- while still in his car, Saint Floyd was saying "I can't breathe"!

-- The restraining hold was painful, but not by itself lethal -- the cop's knee was on the side of his neck, not his throat. Obviously the cop did not intentionally kill him, while the cop knew he was being videoed by hostile Blacks the whole while.

-- Saint Floyd's drug addiction was finally lethal -- 3x (THREE TIMES!) the lethal dose of fentanyl, & other drugs.

-- IIRC, the coroner was politically pressured to revise the official cause of death to "murder," hoping to appease BLM/Antifa threats to burn the city down if the cops wasn't charged with murder & sentenced to hard time.

-- Meanwhile, the request to relocate the trial (given the obvious bias of the local jury pool) was refused.

-- Jurors were threatened. Media coverage was (& is) outrageously biased. One Big Media (NBC?) employee was actually following one juror home, hoping to dox him -- but he got pulled over for a traffic violation, and his motive revealed.

-- After all that, it's no surprise the cop was found guilty & received the max sentence -- in a prison where he was surely going to be violently attacked -- and sure enough, he was stabbed multiple times.

-- Meanwhile BurnLootMurder went ahead and Burned, Looted, & Murdered anyway.

Smart advertising by Obama? The Dems are now inviting you to remember the unholy Minnesota riots during the 2020 COVID hysteria, inviting you to recall antifa thugs and thug-ettes, BLM grifters, Saint George Floyd, that mayor Jacob Frey, Kamala saying the rioters wouldn't and shouldn't stop and saying she would bail them out ... Frey and Walz as major do-nothing jerks ... Frey kneeling down in faux grief at St. G. Floyd's funeral ... cringe deification of a guy dying of a fentanyl cocktail overdose, not from anything else ... Dems' support of "fiery but peaceful" antifa and the BLM rent-a-rioters ... looting, torching a police station ...

Obama's hand in this decision is apparent. It is his strategy of pushing the Dem party, America into a third-world banana republic party state, pushing Jews out of power in the party, aligning Dems with pro-Hamas, pro-Iran, pro rent-a-riot, pro BLM, pro antifa faction ... mission triumphantly accomplished or nemesis?

Perhaps they're trying to get this disaster in the news and out of it while many people are on vacation.

I remember criticism of LAPD Chief Gates for pulling back at the beginning of the Rodney King riots--which LAPD had also done with the '65 Watts riots. Every big city govt must know better by now, so it's deliberate when they don't tamp things down.

Don’tcha just love the standard Leftist reasoning away (excuse) for failure in times of trouble when strong leadership is needed:

WE TRIED TO DO OUR BEST!

Weakness galore.

“I simply believe that we try to do the best we can,” Mr. Walz said recently at a news conference when asked about his response to the riots.
