How soon we forget that summer when America's elites went insane.
The Spirit of the Age is increasingly antiquarian about the distant past (thus the national media frequently carries late-breaking headlines about developments in the Emmett Till case of 1955) and amnesiac about this decade.
For example, you hear about it so little that who can still remember the Summer of 2020?
Well, I can.
It was the worst of times, it was the awfulest of times, it was the age of inanity, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of credulity, it was the season of Black, it was the season of anti-white, it was the spring of dopes, it was the winter of despair.
But even I can’t remember every stupid thing that happened.
