I think most people who read your substack are more interested in the research than in waiting to watch on their teevees who put one foot in front of the other a bit faster. And the only Black athlete I care about is Fatima Diame, because YouTube exists. I am also interested in how much money these Olympic athletes make. Señorita Fatima has been in the Olympics earlier but isn't one of the top jumpers, but she still has $1.4 million so far.

(She also studies to be a nurse, so, smart girl. According to an African girl I know, Fatima's face is typical for a particular tribe in Senegal, but I forget which one. One of those cases where a tribe in Africa is distinct from the masses in the rest of the country. Like the Tigre minority in Eritrea, many of which have straight hair and are quite successful, as their ancestors mixed with Arabs who settled there. But I digress.)

Apparently DNA matters. Or did I miss something?

If you consider Persians to be white, then the fastest white person at the Olympics was Dr. Hassan Taftian of Iran, who ran his semifinal in 10.18s, finishing 5th in his heat. His personal best is 10.03s which he ran 5 years ago. As a comparison, when Allan Wells won for Great Britain in Moscow 1980 his time was 10.25s.

I wonder if a white person has ever cracked 10 seconds in this event.

Christophe LeMaitre ran as low as 9.92 in 2011, but then focused on the 200m, winning bronze in 2016.

Matt Boling of the US ran a wind-legal 9.98 in 2022. New technology shoes were introduced in the late 2010s, so more people are breaking 10 seconds lately.

I know many Persians and have memorized a lot of words in Farsi. No, Persians are not White. But they were a White people that mixed with their slaves and servants long ago. As a known Iranian singer sings on his tour, "the blood of Aryans flows in my veins." Lucky the media in Europe don't speak Farsi.

I had an Arab girl tell me once that "we are White, you know." Her cousin had blond hair and green eyes - there are still Arabs with those features in the Gulf. Or maybe they are descendants of those taken from the Caucasus and sold as slaves? Anyhow, everyone wants to be labeled White, it seems. Except when it's profitable not to be.

> No, Persians are not White.

You are tough but fair. If you exclude Persians, then the fastest white guy at the Olympics was Joshua Azzopardi of Australia, who ran a 10.20 to finish 4th in his first-round heat. Of course this doesn't necessarily mean he is the fastest white guy in the world, as there may be white Americans who could never get through qualifying. As we discussed the other day with the Olympic golf (and tennis) tournaments, getting a wide variety of countries participating is more important than finding the absolute 102 fastest sprinters. Each country is limited to 3 entries, so if you are the 4th fastest American or Jamaican, you are SOL.

Perhaps the most drastic example of this occurred in 2016, when the US women swept the medals in the 100m hurdles, while Keni Harrison, who finished sixth at the trials, broke the world record just before the Olympics.

I believe the fastest white Americans at the Olympic Trials this year were Coby Hilton (wind-aided 10.15) and Sam Blaskowski (10.17). Neither of them has ever broken 10.

I am disappointed that I didn't get a hat-tip considering that I specifically mentioned the two Asian runners who qualified for the semifinals in one of my comments. I know this is specifically in your wheelhouse and you added the research on the European runners, but I got the ball rolling yesterday.

I noticed the top ~5 hammer throwers were thick Northern European males

The winner of Steve's contest looks rather short. My father was a college sprinter and long jumper at 5'8", but that wasn't terribly short for the time. My grandmother said she could spot him marching in company formation when they turned a corner, because he had the biggest backside. Or maybe with a husband over 60, she just liked looking at young men's butts.

Louie Hinchliff is 5’9” according to his Wikipedia entry.

You can be a lot of different heights and be a successful sprinter. 2 time women's 100m gold medalist Shelly Anne Fraser-Pryce is 5'0" and triple gold medalist Usain Bolt is 6'5".

I wonder if leg-length is a factor for middle distances but not others. My 5'11" sister got our generation's only HS letter running 440 yds. "Look at that girl, she's all leg!" But it's too much weight for fast distance running.

Meaning he's probably 5'8" in bare feet.

What about weightlifting? I looked up the male gold medalists in super heavyweight and found the following since 1969:

Joseph Dube, USA (Dube is a French name)

Vasily Alekseyev, USSR

Jürgen Heuser, East Germany

Sultan Rakhmanov, USSR (Uzbek/Ukrainian)

Anatoly Pisarenko, USSR (Russian from Kiev, used steroids)

Dinko Lukin, Australia (Croatian)

Antonio Krastev, Bulgaria

Aleksandr Kurlovich, USSR (Belarus)

Ronny Weller, Germany

Andrei Chemerkin, Russia

Jaber Saeed Salem, Qatar

Hossein Rezazadeh, Iran

Viktors Scerbatihs, Latvia

An Yong-kwon, South Korea

Behdad Salimi, Iran

Ruslan Albegov, Russia

Lasha Talakhadze, Georgia

Looking at all categories, there are also many Bulgarians – surprising that they never got one of the top super heavyweight medals. There are Russians, Poles, British, Americans and some from the Nordic countries. Armenians, Azerbaijani, Georgians. It’s remarkable how some countries appear over and over, others have a few medalists, and most countries in the world have none. Overall the weightlifting champions are mainly Germanics and East Europeans. But not all East Europeans; it’s Bulgarians but not Yugoslavs. Blacks seem to be non-existent. Likewise Latinos. Arabs are almost non-existent. And as usual, let’s spare the Indians the embarrassment.

The media and school teachers love to emphasize how Blacks (from some groups only) are fast runners, to the point where practically no one is aware of White domination of medals in the Olympics, summer and winter.

Some of those early Communist ones might have been taking hormones. I’m not sure when the Olympics started testing.

There are a bunch of events like weightlifting and maybe wrestling where having a strong torso and short limbs helps. It seems like that body type is more common around the Eurasian steppe.

Oddly, the same media and schoolteachers are total race-does-not-exist blank slatists when it comes to noticing anything else about B!lacks. But then that's the utility of Steve's "79 of the last 80 Olympic 100 meter sprint finalists have been black" observation.

Liberal chick at cocktail party: "Race does not exist."

"Why were 79 of the last 80 Olympic sprint finalists black?"

"Blacks are just better at sprinting."

"Now do particle physics."

Oh, the media have an answer to that too: It's because Blacks are discriminated against so they have to do more physical work and run more. Africans run more because they don't have cars, because Whites exploit them (by setting up businesses that employ them to extract minerals and lumber, which apparently the Africans would otherwise have done on their own, presumably with their hands).

Speaking of that exploitation, why don't the exploitative Whites set up factories in Africa? If all people have the same intelligence and capacity, we could make cars, airplanes, medicine, phones and computers in Africa, and pay them a low pay on the level of the mining and lumber industry.

If the Marxist worldview was right all the world's industries would relocate to Africa and the Africans would be paid almost nothing.

Instead, they don't even make good carpets. You can buy decorative carpets made by village women in Turkey, Central Asia, China and Iran. And by Arabs in Morocco. I have never heard of decorative carpets from Black Africa. It seems all it takes is to set up a loom and develop the patience and skill to ... ah, I see.

The fastest kid on my 3rd in state youth soccer team was a Filipino. Unfortunately he got himself killed robbing a bank with a complete POS Jamaican back in 2000.

It was hard for me to read the articles about how he'd gone bad. All I'd ever known was a quiet, tough but decent kid I considered a friend.

Some other talented, athletic SE Asian kids I knew from back then also fell into some dark scenes.
