Uhhhh, unfortunate. The deep state is going to have a field day with this...

Well, it is quite obvious that the fellow was stepping on the lines in an attempt at edgy humor (e.g., I'm cool because I dare to use the term 'eugenics' in a positive way). But it is also obvious that it's still not intelligent to post your hot sports opinions on race on the interwebs, especially under your real name. Still, it is not at all clear what his ethnicity is, so, if he happens to be some sort of hispanic/latino, perhaps he can ultimately get away with it (but he'll have to wait for the cries for his scalp to die down a bit).

The internet will ALWAYS associate his name with "Racism." Too bad for the guy, but that's the game these days.

Tweeting stuff like this is the young online right equivalent of being first over the battlements in a seige assault. You'll probably die, but gloriously, and you make it easier for the guys behind you. You'd see pockets of it going back to the 20-teens. I remember one video from 2020 of a white guy wearing blackface - he stated his full name to the camera then said verbatim, "I dislike black people and am a racist." It's suicidal. But freeing, in a way, and perhaps heroic.

Definitely Balkan.

The only Marko I ever knew was a Slovene. But he was blonde.

I asked Perplexity and most famous Markos seem to be athletes.

I asked for politicians because I thought I remembered one being a "war criminal", and it came up with Marco Rubio.

2nd behind LeBron James and just ahead of Carmelo Anthony. But 2003, not 2005.

I guess I was thinking of Marko Radic or Marko Abramović.

I thought "Rubio" was funny. I would gladly have hung him up by his thumbs for his Gang of Six shenanigans, but "war criminal" was pretty fresh.

Also, “rubio” is Spanish for “blond”

Good thing they fired the kid and now the whole thing will go away and the people who doxxed him will be satisfied and that will be the end of it.

Seriously: How many times does this have to happen for our side to learn that groveling and caving to these monsters will only encourage them and that the best response is to tell them "Go to Hell"?

If "your side" is people proudly declaring "I am a racist" then your side isn't going to win many elections anytime soon. There are some distinctions to be made, but that's not politics.

Because Musk is not in "our side": he (and the Dilbert's Guy) preached to "removed from the Republican Party, root and stem" (https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1872744295884841262) theRacists(tm). He said "racists" but ofc he meant those not in the bandwagon of unlimited indian immigration.

He is a leftist turned GOP because the Dems turned too crazy for more "normal" leftists like him.

So he has his uses. His money was instrumental in getting Trump elected. And Trump does some dumb and counter-productive things but many good things too, and he is of course miles better than Kamala, who wanted to give an amnesty to the more than 30 million illegal aliens in the U.S.

People need to remember that Musk sent his son to an expensive private school, where they turned the son into a Marxist transvestite who says he wants nothing to do with his capitalist dad. So it's obvious why Musk would buy Twitter despite losing a lot of money. He wants to have at least one channel where people can try to turn back the insanity. He is a father fighting to get his son back.

Expand full comment

If the son is his issue, a bit of attention in that direction starting 15 years ago would have been more productive.

Can't say that saying you won't marry outside your ethnicity seems particularly "racist" to me. Every ethnocentric does this. The self-declaration "I was a racist before it was cool" is mostly being "edgy", of course, but if the purely ethnopreservation declarations are ok it raises the question of whether racism is actually automatically bad.

I'm sorry the Trumpys went into cringe, but it IS what you'd expect. The Overton Window has moved a bit, but not all that much.

Over at r/NewJersey, which is full of left-wing reactionary types, they are making a big deal that Elez is a Rutgers alumnus. One redditor referenced James Damore without specifically mentioning that he is also a Rutgers alumnus. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s back in a week. Musk/Trump/Vance might realize they missed an opportunity. They could find statements from people in the Biden administration castigating Whites in the same way. Then just say, “we’re not gonna do anything different if one of ours had a bad day.” The example I always like to use is Sarah Jeong at the NYT.

Sadly, Trump has a long history of ditching people to please the media. They stuck their necks out for him, hurting future career prospects and hurting themselves in social circles, and then they're fired.

What really strikes me as unfair is that they expect a 25yo to have message discipline going back ten years.

There should be a clear division between jobs where you have to watch what you say and jobs where you don't.

"Rules for Radicals"?

That's funny. In Jerry Maguire, Cuba Gooding Jr's wife tells him, "You are a strong, proud Black man!"

His brother is shown wearing a Black Power-style t-shirt, and does the raised fist salute when Cuba Gooding says on TV, "and to my brother, you're militant but I love you."

The celebrated prime minister Benjamin Disraeli wrote three novels with his stand-in the Jewish Sidonia, who says, "All is race - there is no other truth." He refuses to marry a non-Jewess because, "No earthly consideration would ever induce him to impair that purity of race on which he prides himself." There was a lot more like this in his writings.

Why is Disraeli not "cancelled" as a historical figure for this? While the media will attack "dead White men."

https://www.unz.com/article/the-disraeli-enigma/

In "The Batman" Catwoman is played by a Black woman - because the character was played by a Black woman before, so you can't go back to making her White. She casually throws in an insult about "dead White men" and Batman doesn't react. In film school they teach that you should include "five minutes of political messaging," so the audience doesn't catch on.

We see members of the Israeli governing parties today who praise the Jewish race like Disraeli and others did, throughout history. But of course the Jewish media owners will accept that, so you'll get presidents who declare their total loyalty to Israel.

But a WHITE man saying he won't marry outside his race? Then the media attack him.

Expand full comment

It would be weird for the media to cancel Disraeli over a fictional character in his book not wanting a non-Jewish wife given that Disraeli's actual wife was not Jewish at all. Couldn't you have come up with a less obtuse and self-defeating example?

Most Americans marry within their own race. Americans are more comfortable being among others who are like themselves. This is not only racial but cultural. Races and ethnicities do have different cultures. Truth be told, a very strong majority of whites don't want their women having romantic liaisons with black men. This is especially true among white men.

There once was a day when most Americans married within their own ethnicity and religion. Those days are long gone. Whites of all ethnic groups have internalized being American to a great degree, especially those who have lived in America for three or more generations. I would imagine that the young man who lost his job was using the word ethnicity to disguise that he would only marry within his own race. Which is how most Americans have chosen. The young man is just more honest and open about it.

> "a very strong majority of whites don't want their women having romantic liaisons with black men."

It ain't just the whites. In fact, whites are relatively tolerant of interracial dating compared to ... just about everyone else, including black women.

Expand full comment

Black women hate interracial romance for the opposite reasons of white men. For black women, white women are competition. For white men, there are few things more disgusting than white women having romantic relations with black men.

I think I saw some recent social media celebrations of marriages between white men and black women. Perhaps their rarity and cultural frisson is what makes them special.

Usually, in white male-black female romances and marriages, the white male is very left-wing. Of course, it was a rural Southern white male named Loving of Caroline County VA who successfully sued to end Virginia's prohibition on miscegenation way back in 1967.
